Claims under HDFC Ergo health insurance plans occur when you or your insured family member faces a medical emergency and is hospitalised. In the case of claims, the following steps should be taken –

  1. Inform HDFC Ergo immediately about the claim
  2. Locate the networked hospital closest to your area and get admitted there for cashless claims
  3. You would have to fill up a pre-authorization form and submit it with HDFC Ergo for cashless claims. This form should be submitted either within 24 hours of an emergency hospitalisation or 3-4 days before a planned hospitalisation
