Involved in any dangerous activity including, but not limited to aviation or ballooning, speed contests or racing of any kind(other than on foot), bungee jumping, parachuting, parasailing ski-diving, hang gliding, mountain, paragliding, or rock climbing necessitating the use of guides or ropes, potholing, abseiling, deep-sea diving using hard helmet and breathing apparatus, polo, snow and ice sports or involving a military, air force or naval operations, or whilst mounting into, descending from or travelling in any aircraft other than as a passenger (fare-paying or otherwise), in any duly licensed standard type of plane, anyplace in the world. 
  4.  Directly or indirectly caused by venereal disease or insanity
  5. Resulting from insured committing breach of law with criminal intent
  6. War, invasion, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), the act of a foreign enemy, civil war, rebellion, revolution, mutiny, military or usurped power, insurrection, seizure, capture, arrest, restraints and detainments of people 
  7. Directly or indirectly caused by or arising from ionizing radiations or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel, nuclear weapon material, or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel
  8. Directly or indirectly caused by, aggravated or prolonged by childbirth or from pregnancy
  9. Pre-existing Disease whether the same is treated or untreated declared or not declared in the proposal form), which are excluded up to 48 months of the policy being in force. Pre-existing diseases will be covered only post the policy has been uninterruptedly in force for 48 months.

Exclusions under the Private Car Package Policy:

  1. Damage caused due to driving without a valid driving license
  2. Electrical or Mechanical breakdown
  3. Driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol or liquor
  4. Any consequential loss or depreciation
  5. Any loss or damage caused due to mutiny or war or any nuclear activity
  6. Any loss or damage caused outside India namely, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Pakistan
  7. Loss or damage to tyres or the tubes of the Car, unless damage to the vehicle in the accident with liability maximum 50% of the value 
  8. Two-Wheeler which is used for speed testing, or Racing, Hire or Reward, Reliability Trials

Sum insured is constructed based on many factors namely:
